The highlight of the showroom is the bridal wear called Sauganthika. The price range of these exquisite silk sarees starts from Rs. 6,000. The collection includes designer range like Tharomkibarath and Chayamuki. These classy sarees form a part of Kalyan Silks’ own collection. Dakshinotri and Rajgharana collections of designer silk sarees are also available.
Men’s wear is in the fifth floor and has all the leading brands for you to choose from. This includes casuals, formals, party wear and men’s wedding wear. Unstitched material is also available. Kids’ wear is housed on the fourth floor. The same floor also showcases designer watches and branded footwear. On the sixth floor, Kalyan has home furnishings including materials for sofas, cushion covers, bed sheets, carpets, curtains and foam for mattresses. Medium sized carpets are available from Rs. 2,500. It has a kids’ play area and a cafeteria too. There is also a section for branded cosmetics and perfumes like Maybelline, Revlon, Lakme, Tommy Hilfiger, Burberry and more.
Further, Kalyan Silks has a customer loyalty program called Club Kalyan based on which customers earn certain privileges every time they shop with Kalyan. The shop is open on all Sundays too. Kalyan also allows the customers to shop online.
Our verdict - Kalyan is a family shopping destination where you even get home furnishings and accessories. Must-buy here is the bridal collection for women. Customer service is impressive. There is ample parking space around 50 meters away opposite to the shop. This is in addition to the space allotted in front of the showroom.
